Email supportvideoscript@mex.studio, or open Settings → Contact Support in VideoScript. If the email composer shows a different recipient, replace it with supportvideoscript@mex.studio.
Tell us what happened, what you expected, your app version, device model and iOS/iPadOS version. For purchase issues, you can include the User ID shown in Settings. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or private videos unless you choose to share a sample needed to investigate.
The in-app composer includes your User ID and subscription status and may attach a diagnostic log. Review the message and attachment before sending; remove anything you do not want to share. If Mail is unavailable, contact us using your preferred email service.
Import and transcribe

How do I add videos?
On Home, tap +, select videos from Photos and continue. The picker starts with videos not yet added, newest first. Change filters if you cannot find a clip; your selections stay selected when filters change. Check the language for each video or use the bulk language control, then tap Start.
What does Automatic language do?
Automatic uses a short audio sample and the bundled Tiny model to detect the spoken language on your device before transcription. It adds a detection step and can be wrong, especially with music, little speech or mixed languages. Choose a supported language manually to skip detection or correct a failed result. In Settings → Videos Language, choose the default for future imports.
Do I need an internet connection?
Current iPhone/iPad builds use Apple’s on-device speech technology for transcription. A connection may still be needed to download Apple language assets, retrieve a video stored in iCloud Photos, validate purchases, or use connected services. Automatic detection uses its included on-device model. Older app versions and recognition paths may behave differently.
Find and use your videos
What does search find?
Search titles, transcripts, summaries and categories. Combine the available date, category and processing-status filters, then open a result to see matching words in its transcript and move between matches. Playback-time synchronization is separate from transcript search.
Can I change the Home layout?
Use the grid/list control on Home. The app remembers your choice, and sorting works in both layouts. Date grouping is optional in list view. Browse related videos on the Categories tab.
How do I copy or export text?
Open a video’s detail page. Use the copy control for its transcript or summary. Where available, use Share and export to share text or save a text/Markdown file. Check the content before sharing it with another app or service.
Why is a summary unavailable?
Summaries and suggested categories require a compatible Apple Intelligence device, Apple Intelligence enabled, a supported language, and ready model assets. Read the explanation in the detail page. A missing summary does not mean the saved transcript was lost. AI output can be inaccurate; review it against your source.
Interrupted or failed processing
What if processing is interrupted?
The app saves queue entries and completed checkpoints. After relaunch, use the unfinished-processing banner on Home, or open an unfinished video and choose Resume. Saved transcription can be reused so completed work is not repeated. Recovery still needs the source file or accessible original; it cannot recover a video that is no longer available.
How do I hide the unfinished-processing banner?
Tap its close button. This hides it for the current app launch without canceling queued work. It appears again after the next launch if unfinished work remains.
How do I retry a failed video?
Open the video and read the failure explanation. Check audible speech, the selected language, Photos access and source availability. Choose a manual language if Automatic was unable to identify it, then Retry when offered. You can also remove a failed entry from the library.
Photos, replacements and storage
Why am I asked to delete originals in Photos?
When Export Videos is enabled, processing can save an enriched replacement in Photos, then request deletion of successfully replaced originals once the batch finishes. Apple controls that permission dialog. If you decline or deletion fails, both copies may remain. Review the request before confirming. Turn off Export Videos in Settings if you do not want replacements.
What does a Photos warning mean?
The Photos step did not finish as expected. Open the video for its specific explanation; the saved transcript or summary may still be available. A warning can involve access, writing the replacement, or deleting the original. Check Photos before manually deleting either copy.
Why can’t I find or play an original?
In iPhone/iPad Settings, check VideoScript’s Photos access and the selected videos if access is limited. Keep an internet connection if the original needs to download from iCloud Photos. An original deleted or unavailable in Photos may need to be restored or imported again.
What does Clear Videos remove?
Settings → Clear Videos removes the app’s saved library entries and managed local media. It is different from deleting originals in Photos, and it does not cancel a subscription. Export anything you want to keep first. Copies already shared to Photos, Files or another service must be managed there. Cross-device app-library sync is not a recovery guarantee in the current public workflow.
Subscriptions and purchases
How do I subscribe or restore access?
Open Settings → Subscribe to review the available plans, prices, billing periods and any eligible introductory offer. An active subscription is required for full access. If you already purchased with the same Apple Account, choose Settings → Restore Purchases. Do not purchase again just to restore an existing subscription.
How do I cancel?
Use Settings → Manage Subscription in the app, or open iPhone/iPad Settings → your name → Subscriptions → VideoScript. Uninstalling the app does not cancel billing. For an introductory trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to renew. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
How do I request a refund?
Visit reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple handles App Store refund requests; eligibility depends on the purchase and applicable rules. See Apple’s refund guidance.
